Run Breeding Cycles on Numbers, Not Guesses.

Nest Box, Kindling, and Early-Kit Protocol

Doe Performance Tracked From Day One

Litters per year, kits weaned, feed consumed — none of it is measurable without a system. Build the cycle right from the first breeding.

Place the nest box on day 28 of gestation — not day 30, not whenever you remember. Check kits within 12 hours of kindling for viability and count.

Record breeding date, kindling date, kits born, kits weaned, and feed consumed per litter. After three cycles the numbers tell you which does earn their spot.

Weaning Is Where the Rabbitry Improves

Culling and selection at weaning — based on litter size, growth rate, and doe record — separate a rabbitry that gets better each season from one that stays static.
